Job Description
Responsibilities: The following list contains some key responsibilities; additional work may be assigned by your manager.
- Follows relevant work instructions and company standards.
- Operates repair/testing equipment.
- Performs lathe operation (turning, boring, threading).
- Performs milling operation (e.g. drilling, tapping, boring, etc.).
- Runs band saws, belt sanders, and grinding equipment
- Accurately records time on jobs and documents.
- Completes paperwork accurately and on a timely basis.
- Observes all safety procedures and uses proper protective gear.
- Keeps work area neat and clean.
Key skills
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to foster good employee/employer relations.
- Intermediate mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination.
- Understands the properties of metals and the different effects tools have on them.
- Can operate dial indicators, calipers, and micrometers.
- Ability to lift 50lbs and adequately carry out a range of physical labor. (Preferred)
- Intermediate welding, brazing, and soldering skills. (Preferred)
The ideal candidate will also possess strong interpersonal skills, dedication, will be a team player, and must be able to communicate clearly in English.
