Job Description

Dates of Need: 8/14/2026-4/15/2027

The warehouse laborer position includes duties associated with an agricultural warehouse environment, such as:

  • perform a variety of duties related to the production of onions
  • tend/monitor machines to ensure proper movement of product
  • discard diseased, rotting, inferior product and foreign matter
  • report malfunctions
  • general cleanup of machinery and surrounding area
  • sort produce according to grade, color and size
  • place onions in bags that are inside the packing shed once they are off the line
  • sort out culls
  • stack bags on pallets
  • load semi-trucks with packed product
  • operate forklift
  • fill totes with onions
  • inspect onions according to state guidelines
  • perform general maintenance jobs on packing line including replacing cups/fixing rollers and belts
  • hand stack and wrap pallets
  • perform inventory management
  • drive company owned vehicles to and from work (workers possessing the proper licensure may be asked to transport other farm workers)
  • inspect/repair totes/pallets and load railcars

Environmental & Physical Demands:

  • Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to push, pull, stoop, and bend.
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures.
  • If driving, worker must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
