Job Description
This person needs to be willing to learn, detail-oriented, able to work alone and with other workers.
Job includes cleaning, feeding and vaccinating sows in the Farrowing houses and Gestation barns. Clean and feed Hot Nursery House. Process newborn piglets, i.e., cut teeth, give shots, and ear notch. Learn basic operation of all barns to help with chores when needed. There are weekend chores every 5th weekend. Pig Ranch is in Idaho, and located approximately 5 miles south of Farmington, WA or 25 miles north of Moscow, ID. Full time position. Starting wage is $20.00/ hr. depending on experience. 8 hour day. After 6 months, you get a half pig cut and wrapped. After a year, 2 weeks paid vacation.
We can train you in all aspects of this job. Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation. Must be able to lift 65 lbs. You must have a desire to work with animals.
