Job Description

The Therapy Services Manager is responsible for the performance of the outpatient and inpatient therapy services department and includes supervision of the therapy staff, including Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Aides, and clerical staff.

Performs the duties of a staff Physical Therapist (See Physical Therapist job description) to meet the patient care needs of the department. 

Participates in weekend call schedule.

Responsible for the operational management of the Therapy Services department to include staff at the Kooskia Clinic. This includes responsibility for staffing functions (recruitment and selection of new employees, training, orientation, and performance reviews. Other duties include compliance with policies and procedures and ensuring that department supplies and equipment are ordered and in good repair.

Is responsible for participation in the facility wide Performance Improvement (PI) program, including development and review of internal department quality monitors, tracking, and reporting quarterly PI findings in a timely manner, reporting all patient quality issues, and facilitation on-going education for staff regarding their role in the PI process.

Attends manager and other required meetings to represent the interests of the department. 

Reports to the Director of Clinic Operations for non-clinical department operations and the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for clinical issues and concerns.  Works with the CMO for Physical Therapist annual reviews.

Position requires access to highly confidential information.

Performs other relevant duties for the department as requested. 

Requirements

Graduate of a master's or higher degree program in Physical Therapy.

Licensure in the State of Idaho required.

Minimum of three years of inpatient physical therapy required.

Outpatient Therapy experience preferred.

Previous leadership experience or management experience preferred.

Able to demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks, use good judgement in the delivery of patient care and communicate effectively with patients, family members, care team members and providers.
