Job Description

Greenhouse Assistant (Part-Time / Weekend) – $14-$18/hr

Schedule:

- Weekends required: Sat & Sun (2-8 hrs/day)

- Watering: 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM (daily, minimum 2 hrs)

- Weekdays: 1-3 flexible days (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)

Overview

Seeking a reliable, detail-oriented assistant to support greenhouse and field operations for alfalfa breeding and plant care.

Responsibilities

- Water, prune, stake, pot, and maintain plants

- Assist with alfalfa crossing and greenhouse tasks

- Collect and process plant samples (including grinding)

- Maintain clean and organized work areas

Requirements

- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination

- Ability to work independently and perform repetitive tasks

- Basic computer skills and strong communication

- Interest in biology/agriculture preferred
