Job Description

Supervise and coordinate hotel housekeeping staff responsible for cleaning guest rooms and public areas. Ensure all hotel cleanliness standards, guest service expectations, and safety procedures are met efficiently and consistently. Primary Duties: Assign daily cleaning schedules and room lists to housekeeping staff. Train new and existing team members on hotel cleaning standards, guest-service expectations, and safety protocols. Inspect guest rooms, hallways, and common areas to ensure quality and readiness for guests. Monitor inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities; request restocking as needed. Assist staff with cleaning tasks during peak periods or staff shortages. Address guest requests and coordinate with front desk and management regarding room status updates. Maintain housekeeping logs, room assignment records, and attendance sheets. Support staff performance through coaching and daily supervision. Enforce company policies, OSHA safety rules, and cleanliness standards. Cannot hire, fire, or independently discipline employees. Cannot set pay rates, pricing, budgets, or negotiate contracts. Cannot make scheduling decisions outside the assigned housekeeping roster. Works under supervision of hotel management and follows established protocols.Job RequirementsNo prior education is needed; however, 3 months of experience is required. On-the-job training will be provided. Some weekend work required. Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs 75 yds and handle extreme temperaturesSalary/Wages/Benefits$24.27 an hour bi-weekly, or approximately 40 hours per week, up to 10 overtime hours may be offered, however are not guaranteed. From Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. Applicants may be offered more than advertised. The wage rate may vary based on experience and/or merit. $36.41/hr for overtime. All deductions from the worker’s paycheck will be made as required by law. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages and pay bi-weekly by check. Any advances will be deducted with the consent of the employee. Employer deducts reasonable fair market value cost of rent/utilities based on number of occupants for workers electing to reside in employer provided housing (cost TBD). Optional daily transportation will be provided from and to the worksite.In the first workweek, the cost of transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be directly reimbursed to every worker. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. In the first workweek, daily subsistence for travel to the place of employment will be reimbursed at a rate of at least $16.28/day to a maximum of $68.00/day with receipts. Also, workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visas, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). The employer will provide workers without charge or deposit charge for all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
