The ScholarNet team is looking for a customer-focused, results driven individual to represent the ScholarNet products in the higher-education marketplace, help existing customers optimize their private loan processes, and engage with potential new customers. We have a highly successful and well-established product line positioned for growth with a great customer base. The right candidate must be customer-focused, an effective problem solver, and good relationship builder; driven to help customers become more efficient and streamline their processes. An ability to work independently and collaboratively to create sales plans for a defined territory is necessary. Must also be able to evaluate sales success and provide ongoing strategies and plans to ensure goals are being met.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive territory sales strategy by developing and executing outreach and communications plans that generate qualified leads and move opportunities through the pipeline
Own and manage the sales calendar for territory, tracking open opportunities, forecasting close dates, and prioritizing activity to hit revenue targets
Maintain CRM discipline – log activity, track opportunity stages, and use data to prioritize accounts and follow-up
Generate and convert leads at conferences and events , building a pipeline of new business while executing retention plays with existing accounts
Build and grow school partnerships as a core sales channel, driving new enrollment/business and protecting existing accounts from churn
Build and grow lender relationships as a referral and revenue channel, prospecting new partners and retaining existing ones
Own customer issue resolution end-to-end – partner with internal support to troubleshoot, but stay accountable for the customer relationship and outcome
Onboard and train customers post-sale to drive adoption, satisfaction, and upsell/renewal opportunity
Protect brand consistency across territory sales efforts, ensuring messaging aligns with corporate positioning
Partner with creative and production teams to get sales collateral and campaigns turned around and into the field fast
Consult with customers and internal teams to uncover needs and competitive gaps , translating those insights into sales strategy and pitch positioning
Track and report on sales KPIs – pipeline velocity, close rate, retention, territory revenue – to evaluate and improve performance
Represent the company at state, regional, and national conferences as a direct sales presence, prospecting and closing in the field
Travel during fall and spring peak conference seasons to maximize in-person selling opportunities
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE:
5-10 years of experience in financial aid or private loans.
Sales and Marketing background preferred.
COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
High level of verbal and written skill required.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Must be able to handle high volume of projects.
People leadership and decision-making skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently or in a group.
Compensation range for this role is $85,000 -$95,000 annually, plus sales incentives depending on experience.
