Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Shop Worker to join our siding company. The Shop Worker is responsible for assisting with the preparation, organization, maintenance, and distribution of materials, tools, and equipment used for siding installation projects. This position helps ensure the shop operates efficiently while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

         Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload siding materials, tools, and equipment.
• Prepare materials for daily installation crews.
• Organize and maintain inventory in the shop and warehouse.
• Receive, inspect, and stock incoming deliveries.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment (training/certification as required).
• Keep the shop, warehouse, and yard clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Perform basic maintenance on company tools and equipment.
• Assist with cutting, assembling, and packaging siding materials as needed.
• Deliver materials to job sites when required.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Assist with additional shop and warehouse duties as assigned.

  Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, construction, or shop experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
  • Basic knowledge of construction materials and tools preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Frequently lift, carry, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
    • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
    • Safely handle heavy materials, equipment, and power tools.
