Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, responsible for assigned pharmacy duties. Maintains the pharmacy within established hospital and regulatory agency laws and Department of Public Health Regulations. 

Essential Job Functions:

• Assists with policy and procedures for pharmacy services.
• May be required to work in the hospital or retail pharmacy
• Assists with personnel management and assoicated training and competencies
• Oversees remote pharmacy services
• Assists with the Formulary Management including: Pharmacy contract compliance, interchanges, shortage management
• Delegated management of formulary from the medical staff and all application system interdependencies including management of the pharmacy and therapeutics committee
• Assists with inventory management
• Distribution system for the enterprise
• Pyxis system maintenance
• Controlled substance inventory
• Inventory optimization additions/delitions
• Outdates/returns
• Purchasing
• Inter-department and inter-pharmacy sales
• Regional support (e.g. EMS)
• Clinic medication orders
• Follows hospital exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.
• Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times. Follows HIPAA regulations and policies.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
• Communicate with patients, families and co-workers in person in writing and on telephone. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Science
• Idaho Pharmaceutical License, required.
• 3-5 years' experience, preferred

Full Time, 40 hours per week.
