Prepares work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.- Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control and purchasing.- Performs housekeeping and grounds maintenance of warehouse and sales center offices.- Directs salvage of damaged or used material.- Participates in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.- Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any timeAdditional Job Description**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES** Manages one subordinate supervisor who supervises approximately 5 employees in the Warehouse Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Also, directly supervises non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry in order to optimize warehouse configuration and organization. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS None. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
