Position Title: Multi-Level Project Engineer SR
Work Location: Site - AMWTP
Shift Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 4x10’s
Salary Grade: 15 Salary Range- Min $77,635 Mid $99,195 Max $120,755
Salary Grade: 18 Salary Range Min $111,520 Mid $142,945 Max $174,365
Position Purpose:
Apply advanced science, technology and engineering concepts to design, analyze, and System/Project Engineers apply science, technology, and engineering knowledge to maintain the operability of assigned structures, systems, and components (SSCs) at the Radioactive Waste Management Complex (RWMC). System/Project Engineers are responsible for the execution of the Design Authority functions and maintaining configuration management, including oversight of the technical portion of operations, for assigned SSCs. This includes, but is not limited to performing: system testing, system performance monitoring, system walkdowns, system health reporting, and operability evaluations for assigned SSCs. System/Project Engineers are accountable to the RWMC Chief Engineer to ensure compliance with DOE Orders, Facility Safety Basis requirements, company procedures and best nuclear-industry practices, utilizing industrial and commercial best-practices where appropriate in the operation and maintenance of assigned SSCs.
Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education/Experience):
This is a multi-level posting and the successful candidate will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on depth and breadth of proven experience and skills. At the Idaho Environmental Coalition, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Physical Science from an accredited college.
Nuclear experience preferred but not required.
Salary Grade 15: Bachelors degree plus 2 years experience
Salary Grade 18: Bachelors degree plus 12 years experience

License(s) or Certificate(s) Required:
A State of Idaho Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred for this position or ability to obtain license in 6 months, but not required.
Position Responsibilities:
SSC preventative and corrective maintenance:
-Developing and maintaining preventative maintenance requirements
-Support development of maintenance work orders
-Procurement of materials and components per quality requirements
-Support execution of maintenance work orders
Monitoring, tracking, and trending SSC performance:
-Evaluate system failure and corrective maintenance rates
-Identify failure or maintenance trends
-Identify critical spare parts
-Identify end of life indications
-Develop recommendations to maintain system operability
-Completing system health reports for management
Configuration management for assigned SSCs:
-Identifying replacement materials and components
-Identifying proper quality requirements for systems and components
-Performing functional evaluations for replacement parts or components
-Updating drawings and system documentation to reflect configuration
New SSC development and installation:
-Perform engineering evaluations of proposed system changes
-Support regulatory changes related to new processes or systems
-Support nuclear safety evaluations of new processes or systems
-Support development of system operating procedures
Training, qualification, and safety:
-Completing position related training and qualifications
-Completing facility specific training and qualifications
-Completing ICP training and qualifications
-Maintaining qualifications
-Attending safety meetings and supporting other safety related tasks
Supporting other emergent issues related to system operability,
operations/maintenance support, ICP-wide needs, facility specific needs, etc.
