Job Description

Gem State Staffing is hiring a Cuber Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for operating and monitoring the cuber system, ensuring finished concrete blocks meet quality standards, and supporting production throughout your shift. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and able to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the cuber system to maintain efficient production.
• Inspect finished blocks to ensure they meet quality standards before they are cubed.
• Build cubes using the correct stacking patterns.
• Assist the Machine Operator with mold changes as needed.
• Monitor the pallet magazine and cuber equipment for proper operation.
• Immediately report equipment malfunctions or production issues to the Machine Operator.
• Record accurate production information on the cuber production board.
• Monitor the production line and respond quickly to prevent downtime.
• Shut down the dry-side line when the wet-side (green) line stops to prevent pallet backups, and restart production once operations resume.
• Clean and inspect the mixer and production equipment at the end of each shift and during color changes.
• Report any equipment damage or maintenance concerns immediately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
• Follow all company safety procedures and ensure Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed before performing any cleaning, maintenance, or servicing.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or production experience preferred but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify equipment issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a physically demanding environment throughout the shift.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
