We are seeking candidates who enjoy working outdoors in a team-oriented environment, have a positive attitude, and are looking to establish a career with Gritman. Must be reliable, attention to detail, good communication skills, strong work ethic, able to follow directions, and able to plan and coordinate Landscaping and Snow Removal activities for fellow Gritman Engineering Team members.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Lawn season (Spring thru Fall):· Coordinate landscaping schedules, plans, and tasks for all Gritman properties
· Run mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other equipment
· Safely drive trucks with trailers; load, secure, and back trailers into driveways
· Handle weekly landscaping to a clear standard
· Mowing, edging and fertilizing lawns
· Weeding and mulching landscape beds
· Trimming small trees below 15’, hedges and shrubs
· Removing unwanted, dead or damaged trees
· Planting shrubs, flowers and trees
· Watering gardens, lawns and landscapes
· Monitoring and maintaining plant health
· Ensuring that areas are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
· Use a smartphone app for schedules, job notes, and photos
· Do basic equipment checks and keep trucks/ATV/trailers clean, repaired and organized
· Maintaining and repairing irrigation systems including sprinklers, drip lines, and valves
· Seasonal blow out and start-up of all the irrigation systems.
Snow season (Winter):· Coordinate Snow Removal schedules, plans, and tasks for all Gritman properties
· Operate plow trucks and related snow equipment during storms
· Clear driveways and parking lots, apply salt/ice melt as needed
· Work on call during snow events (days/nights/weekends as weather dictates)
· Log work and photos in our app and stay in touch during changing conditions
Job Requirements
Required Education, Licenses and Work Experience
· High school or equivalent (Required)
· Landscaping/grounds services: 2+ years (Required)
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications
· Operating in a comfortable and safe manner with trucks and trailers (or strong experience with larger vehicles/equipment)
· Smartphone (we use an employee portal for scheduling, photos, and communication)
· Experience in lawn care, landscaping, snow, construction, or equipment operation preferred
· Willing and able to be on call for winter storms (nights/weekends as needed)
· Must know how to operate lawn maintenance equipment, such as lawnmowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers
· Chemical Applicator’s License Preferred

Physical & Environmental Demands
· Able to lift 50+ lbs
· Work in all weather conditions (heat, rain, cold, snow)
· Physical and mental endurance required for availability during the four seasons, including traveling to sites and being outside in winter and summer weather conditions performing physical tasks.
· The ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, ascend/descend stairs, and walk for various lengths of time during business hours.
· Subject to temperature extremes both interior and exterior.
· Environmental hazards exist with temperatures, chemicals, and power equipment.
