Job Description
Job Summary: To work under the direction of the Head Teacher and Principal in achieving the
educational goals and objectives of all students through individual, small group, or
whole group instruction.
Qualifications:
• Applicants must have high school diploma or equivalent and accumulated thirty-two
college credits or be able to pass the Paraprofessional Praxis exam.
• Previous aide or teaching experience preferred
• Knowledge of child growth and development and appropriate classroom practices
• Demonstrated ability to assist with instructional activities
• Knowledge of subject matters and ability to instruct students at the direction of the
teacher
• Works well with students, staff, and the public
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Maintain confidentiality of staff and students
• Must have or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification
• Must be able to lift fifty pounds
• Selected applicant must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
