MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: (Must attach responses to your application) (1) Must have and maintain a valid and unrestricted state issued driver’s license (from any state). Provide your driver’s license number, issuing state, license expiration date, and the full name specified on the license. (Do not provide a copy of your driver’s license.) (2) Must submit to and pass an OPM Federal Childcare National Agency Check with Inquiries (CNACI) investigation, including a complete ten (10) finger fingerprint card or scan, upon offer of employment. Must agree to submit to periodic rechecks in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. (At a minimum, a favorable suitability determination by the State Security Manager is required prior to appointment into this position.) (3) Must submit to and pass a drug test upon offer of employment, and agree to submit to periodic and random drug testing at the discretion of the Program/Academy Director. (4) Must have the required education and specialized experience listed below. (Attach a copy of your education/training credential and applicable certifications to this application; unofficial transcripts are acceptable. Describe qualifying professional level experience) :+ Certification as a Medical Assistant, a Certified Nurse Assistant, or completion of a Medical/Healthcare Technician course of study
+ Current Basic First Aid, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Certifications
+ One year of experience as a Medical Assistant or other closely related Healthcare Technician
(5) Must have and maintain a current Certified CPR Instructor or be willing to get certification within 3 months of appointment at employer expense. (Attach a copy of your certification. If applicable, provide written response.) (6) Ability to use Microsoft Office products and custom software systems to maintain case records, produce reports and access informational resources, including the ability to extract and compile data to prepare narrative, statistical or other reports for review, analysis, documentation (e.g., purchasing, inventory, registration, and patient or student information). Ability to extract data from a spreadsheet for use in a self-created form letter or mailing label template. Describe related experience. ( 7 ) Applicant must provide the following information within the application for needed mandatory background screening if selected for appointment. Applicant must provide complete mailing addresses and telephone numbers for Employment History and Higher Education (cover the past 10 years for employment, and all post-secondary education) and References (at least three people who know you fairly well). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: (Must attach responses to your application) Must have 12-m onths of experience performing work related to the knowledge requirements below. Submit a paragraph for each knowledge requirement below that demonstrates the required experience and describes competence in applying the knowledge. Education and training may be used to offset experience. (1) Knowledge of emotional, social, economic, developmental, and physical needs of high school age students. (2) Skill in the administration/documentation of prescribed and over-the-counter medications. (3) Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with administrators, healthcare professionals, staff members, parents, and Student Cadets in coordinating selected health services activities and resolving student health problems/concerns. (4) Skill in emergency assessment and the application of first aid procedures. (5) Ability to efficiently train an individual or large group in specific processes and procedures (6) Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, data base entry, managing files and records, and designing forms and reports. (7) Demonstrated skill in inventory management including tracking, ordering, verifying receipt and re-stocking. (8) Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and maintain, at all times, the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism. (9) Knowledge of military protocol, values and culture.
