Lead Line Cook at Moonlight BasinStart Date: November 20, 2026 End Date: April 16, 2027 Moonlight Club LLC d/b/a Moonlight Basin, located in Big Sky, Montana, seeks ten (10) full-time, temporary Lead Line Cooks who will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, pastries, and other food items in a restaurant, set up, stock and maintain assigned stations before, during and after service, assist with daily preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, measuring and storing ingredients, ensure proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures are followed, maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in accordance with food safety regulations, coordinate timing with other cook staff and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient and consistent service, monitor food quality and communicate any issues or needs to the Sous Chef or Chef on duty support kitchen operations during peak service periods and help resolve minor issues as they arise, assist with weekly and monthly inventory tasks, including tracking stock and communicating shortages, mentor and support kitchen staff by demonstrating proper techniques, maintaining a positive environment, and modeling high standards, follow all company policies, safety procedures, and sanitation requirements. May occasionally (less than 10% of the time) drive the company van (light vehicle less than 26,001 lbs. GVW) between restaurants on property to deliver food (prepared food for the employee dining or ingredients for the different restaurants). There will be no autonomous supervision of workers at any time. Must be able to lift 50lbs.Will report directly to the Executive Chef at Moonlight Basin. Three (3) months of experience as a Line Cook in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end or high-volume restaurant, resort, or private club required.Applicant must complete pre-employment background check at employer’s expense. All worksites located in Big Sky, Montana. Travel throughout this area is required. When travel is required, transportation between worksites is provided. Daily transportation to and from worksite is provided via employee shuttle and community bus.On-the-job training is provided. Wage: $21.62 – $24.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly. Overtime is available at $32.43 – $36.00 per hour. Service charge-eligible position based on hours worked, so actual wage with service charge may occasionally be higher. Employees may be eligible for additional compensation in the form of a discretionary end-of-season bonus and an employee appreciation bonus based on performance and accrual tenureSchedule: 40 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 6:00am – 2:00pm, 9:00am – 5:00pm or 2:00pm – 10:00pm. Shift hours may vary.A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Optional housing is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis for workers who are relocating to begin employment. Cost of housing, if accepted, is $650.00 per month for double occupancy. If used, total cost of housing will be paid directly to Employer on the 1st and 15th of each month in the amount of $325.00. Cost of housing includes utilities and internet. A $150.00 non-refundable administration fee is required upon acceptance of housing, to be paid directly to the Employer. A $350.00 refundable security deposit is required, upon acceptance of housing, to be paid directly to the Employer. The security deposit is refundable if housing is left in suitable condition and will be refunded on the paycheck following the housing checkout.Additional, optional benefits may be offered to worker, for worker’s sole benefit, including but not limited to health insurance and 401k.
