Job Description

•    Design roadways and highways including performing civil design calculations, modeling, and technical comparisons.
•    Research design options while taking a broad prospective to identify different solutions.
•    Provide project cost estimating; develop specifications and assist in solving complex problems.
•    Perform estimating for construction cost and professional service hours, monitor and report on progress and ensure quality of the highway effort is against schedule and budget.
•    Attend project meetings and design review meetings, while interacting with clients/contractors a highway designer.
•    Use design tools AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation, and Open Roads Designer.
•    Reference AASHTOO guidelines, Roadside Design Guide, ITD standards, ACHD standards, MUTCD Guidebook, and other industry standards.

Hybrid schedule is allowed.

Travel: Less than 10% domestic travel to visit project sites.
