Landscape & Irrigation Laborer / Equipment Operator

Location: Pocatello, ID
Schedule: Part-Time to Full-Time | As Needed
Pay: $13–$17/hour DOE

Gem State Staffing in Pocatello is looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join a busy landscaping and outdoor construction team. This position is not your typical landscaping job—you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects including landscaping, irrigation, patios, equipment operation, maintenance, and repairs.

Because much of the work is outdoors, hours and schedules will vary based on weather, customer needs, and current projects. Flexibility is important.

What You’ll Be Doing

· Perform landscape installation, maintenance, and cleanup

· Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair sprinkler and irrigation systems

· Assist with patio and outdoor remodeling projects

· Operate equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, and mini front loaders

· Assist with excavation, grading, digging, and material movement

· Perform general labor and outdoor construction tasks

· Use hand and power tools safely and effectively

· Load, unload, move, and organize materials and equipment

· Help troubleshoot problems in the field and find practical solutions

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

· Work as part of a team while also being able to work independently

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is:

· Dependable and willing to work a flexible schedule

· Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions

· Physically capable of performing hands-on labor

· Comfortable using hand tools and power equipment

· Experienced with landscaping, irrigation, excavation, or outdoor construction preferred

· Experience operating mini excavators, skid steers, or mini loaders is a major plus

· Able to follow instructions and work safely

· Someone who takes pride in doing quality work

· A problem-solver who doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty
