Event Setup & Tear Down Crew – Concerts & Live Events

Pay: $15.00 per hour
Location: Pocatello, ID
Part-Time | On-Call | Event-Based Schedule

Gem State Staffing in Pocatello is hiring for event set up and tear down crews. We are looking for dependable, energetic team members to join our Event Setup & Tear Down Crew!

This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, can take direction well, and don't mind split shifts. You'll play a key role in helping bring concerts and live events to life by assisting with setup before the show and breakdown after the event ends.

Schedule:

This position works only on scheduled event dates, which may be known several weeks in advance or occasionally with shorter notice.

Typical schedule:

• Setup Call: 2–4-hour shift prior to the event (4-hour minimum pay guaranteed)
• Tear Down Call: Usually begins around 10:00 PM after the event and lasts approximately 2–4 hours (4-hour minimum pay guaranteed)

Split shifts are expected, and availability for both setup and teardown is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

· Assist with setting up stages, lighting, sound systems, and event equipment

· Load, unload, and move audio, lighting, and musician equipment

· Perform team lifts of heavy equipment safely and efficiently

· Follow directions from event supervisors and production staff

· Assist with stage breakdown and equipment removal after events

· Collect trash and help with venue cleanup

· Maintain a safe and organized work environment

· Jump in wherever needed to help the team succeed

Qualifications:

· Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy equipment with team assistance

· Comfortable standing, bending, walking, and performing physical work for extended periods

· Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

· Reliable transportation to and from the event venue

· Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team

· Dependable attendance and punctuality are required

· Must be willing to work evenings, late nights, weekends, and varying schedules based on event needs

Preferred:

· Previous experience with events, concerts, moving crews, warehouses, staging, production, or general labor is helpful but not required

· A positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
