Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The principal function of an employee in this class is to provide direction as crew coordinator (leader), and assist with work tasks for, Parks Maintenance Technicians in the maintenance of City parks, sports fields and City owned property. The work is performed under the supervision and direction of the Parks Supervisor, but considerable leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative. Supervision is exercised over a crew of parks employees including seasonal workers. The nature of the work performed requires that an employee in this class establish and maintain effective working relationships with other City employees, and the general public. The principal duties of this class are performed in an outdoors environment in a variety of terrain and weather conditions.
