Studio Manager/Program CoordinatorLocation: Hearts Afire Pottery and Art Studio Schedule: 30-35 hours per week, including weekends Pay: $21-$23 per hour with room to growAbout Hearts AfireHearts Afire is a welcoming paint-your-own pottery studio where creativity, community, and connection come together. We offer open studio painting, private parties, classes, workshops, kids camps, and seasonal programming for children and adults.Position OverviewThe Studio Manager/Program Coordinator is a hands-on leadership role combining program development, customer service, creative instruction, studio operations, and promotion. This person will take ownership of classes, camps, workshops, and events while helping customers and supporting daily studio operations.The ideal candidate is friendly, creative, organized, dependable, and comfortable turning ideas into successful programs.Key ResponsibilitiesClasses, Camps and Events Create, schedule, promote, and lead classes, workshops, kids camps, and seasonal programs. Coordinate project samples, materials, registration, staffing, and event logistics. Develop new programming ideas for children, adults, families, and community groups. Assist with private parties and special events; track participation and recommend improvements.Studio Operations and Customer Experience Open and close the studio and help maintain smooth daily operations. Welcome customers, explain the painting process, and provide creative guidance. Support walk-ins, parties, classes, checkout, project organization, and pickup procedures. Help keep the studio welcoming, organized, clean, and ready for customers.Marketing and Social Media Create photos, videos, and content for Facebook, Instagram, and other marketing channels. Promote classes, camps, events, and new offerings; contribute ideas for outreach and seasonal campaigns.Organization and Studio Maintenance Organize supplies, tools, samples, and instructional materials; monitor inventory needs. Assist with weekly cleaning and support the flow of customer pieces through finishing and kiln processes. QualificationsRequired Strong customer service, communication, organization, and time-management skills. Experience coordinating programs, events, projects, or business operations. Creative ability to assist customers and guide projects. Dependable, able to manage changing priorities, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Comfortable working with children and adults and available for weekend shifts.Preferred Experience with art, ceramics, crafts, education, recreation, or creative instruction. Experience leading classes, camps, workshops, community events, or children’s programs. Social media, small-business marketing, leadership, or management experience.Pottery experience is helpful but not required. Training will be provided on studio procedures, materials, products, and techniques.A Great Fit Will Enjoy helping people feel creative, comfortable, and confident. Dedicated weekday time for program planning, administration, marketing, and social media. Additional availability may be needed during school breaks, holidays, and busy seasonal periods.
