Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Insulated Panel Group is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Purchasing and Planning Supervisor. This roleleads a team responsible for purchasing, inventory management, material planning, and order readiness, ensuring materials,resources, and plant capacity are aligned to meet customer commitments and business objectives. The Supervisor connectscustomer demand with operational execution by directing team performance and driving continuous improvement across theorganization.

The Purchasing and Planning Supervisor serves as a key link between project coordinators, purchasing, supply chain, andproduction teams, and is accountable for their team’s success in balancing workload between the Brigham City and Las Vegasfacilities while aligning material availability, inventory levels, production capacity, and customer commitments across NIPG Westand other regions.

+ Lead and promote a culture where safety, teamwork, accountability, and customer service are top priorities for the team.

+ Direct the team’s purchasing, inventory management, material planning, and order readiness activities supporting NIPGWest operations.

+ Ensure the team effectively coordinates workload balancing between the Brigham City and Las Vegas facilities to optimizecapacity utilization, resource allocation, and customer commitments.

+ Partner with project coordinators, purchasing, supply chain, and production leadership to ensure the team proactivelyidentifies and resolves constraints that could impact customer commitments or plant performance.

+ Direct the team’s raw material planning and purchasing activities to ensure timely availability of steel, components,packaging, and other materials required to support manufacturing operations.

+ Hold the team accountable for monitoring inventory levels across Brigham City and Las Vegas and developing strategiesthat balance customer service, working capital, and operational efficiency.

+ Ensure the team evaluates plant loading and recommends production transfers between facilities when appropriate tomaximize capacity utilization and support customer requirements.

+ Ensure the team establishes and maintains strong supplier relationships and monitors supplier performance related todelivery, responsiveness, reliability, and cost competitiveness.

+ Oversee reporting and KPIs related to backlog health, plant loading, material availability, inventory performance, supplierperformance, and customer commitment attainment.

+ Ensure the team develops contingency plans to address material shortages, supply disruptions, production constraints, andchanging customer demand.

+ Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen the team’s purchasing effectiveness, supply chainperformance, inventory management, and operational readiness throughout NIPG West.

+ Lead, coach, and develop planning and purchasing teammates while fostering a culture of ownership, engagement,accountability, and continuous improvement.

+ Participate in NIPG West leadership discussions and contribute to strategic decisions regarding plant loading, inventorystrategy, material availability, and supply chain performance.

+ Operate as a division leader accountable for the long-term success, growth, and profitability of NIPG West through theperformance of the team.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Minimum two years of leadership experience in purchasing, planning, supply chain, inventory management, manufacturing,or a related field.

+ Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory management, material planning, and manufacturing processes.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

+ Experience working within ERP/MRP systems, preferably D365.

+ Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability and willingness to travel between facilities as business needs require, including regular visits to our NIPG Vegasfacility.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or equivalent experience.

+ Nucor leadership experience.

+ Experience with D365 purchasing, inventory management, planning, and reporting processes.

+ APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or related supply chain certifications.

+ Experience utilizing Power BI or similar reporting platforms.

+ Experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment.

+ Demonstrated success implementing process improvements and driving operational excellence.
