Personnel Plus, Inc. Boise is hiring a Cylinder Maintenance Technician in Boise, Idaho
Our client, a gas plant filling company, is looking for a dependable and mechanically inclined Cylinder Maintenance Technician to help keep compressed gas cylinders in safe working condition.
Pay and schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM * Overtime required
Starting at $18.00 per hour
What you'll do:
Inspect compressed gas cylinders for dents, corrosion, leaks, damaged valves, and other defects
Remove, replace, and torque cylinder valves using proper tools and procedures
Clean, prep, paint, and re-label cylinders as needed
Prepare cylinders for hydrostatic testing, requalification, or maintenance
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Perform other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
High school diploma or equivalent
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely use hand and power tools
Ability to accurately enter data into computer systems
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain accurate inspection and maintenance records
Perform basic mathematical calculations
Ability to lift, move, and handle cylinders weighing 50+ lbs.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Basic knowledge of compressed gas cylinders is helpful but not required—we will train the right candidate
Ability to pass a background check
