CNC & Manual Machinist - Job Setup & Programming

at AGPRO Marketing & Manufacturing, Inc. in Clarkston, Washington, United States

Job Description

AGPRO manufactures agricultural equipment used by farmers across the Pacific Northwest. We are looking for an experienced machinist who enjoys problem solving and a variety of parts rather than running the same production job every day.

Our machines are already installed and operating. This role is about setting up each machine for the next part or production run: reviewing the print, choosing and installing workholding and tooling, loading or editing the program, setting offsets, proving out the first piece, inspecting it, and making the adjustments needed for a safe, accurate, repeatable process.

Responsibilities
• Set up, program, and operate CNC mills and lathes for new parts and production runs
• Set up and operate manual mills, lathes, and related shop equipment
• Read mechanical drawings, tolerances, and specifications
• Select tooling, fixtures, workholding, speeds, feeds, and machining sequence
• Establish tool and work offsets and safely prove out first pieces
• Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, and other precision instruments
• Troubleshoot programs, tooling, fixturing, and machining results
• Produce production parts, prototypes, and repair parts
• Work with engineering to improve quality, setup time, and manufacturing processes
• Keep accurate production records and maintain a safe, organized work area

Qualifications
• At least 3 years of machining experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to independently take a part from print to a proven machining setup
• CNC programming and program-editing experience
• Strong blueprint-reading and precision-measurement skills
• Experience with both CNC and manual machining
• Practical problem-solving skills, reliability, and attention to detail
• Fixture design, process improvement, fabrication, or welding experience is a plus

Schedule and Pay
• Full-time, day shift, 40 hours per week
• $30.00–$36.00 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated setup/programming ability
• Overtime may be available

Benefits
• Health, dental, and vision insurance
• 401(k) with company match
• Paid time off
• Tuition reimbursement
• Employee discount
• Flexible spending account

Work is performed in person at our Clarkston, Washington facility.
