Job Description
e are looking for a detail-oriented and self-motivated General Laborer to join our production team. This role is essential in preparing our metal components for the final stages of manufacturing. You will be responsible for the finishing of aluminum castings and stainless steel assemblies, ensuring every piece meets our standards before it moves to machining, painting, or shipping.
Key Responsibilities
- Grinding: Prepare aluminum castings for machining and painting by removing imperfections and smoothing surfaces.
- Detail Finishing: Perform fine-detail grinding and finishing work on complex aluminum and stainless steel assemblies.
- Fabrication Support: Cut and prep structural metal members to specification for welding and machining teams.
- Logistics & Packaging: Carefully package and prepare finished production items for safe shipment to customers.
- Shop Maintenance: Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure a clean, organized work area to maintain safety and efficiency.
Physical Requirements & Qualifications
- Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods (8+ hours) while operating manual grinding hand tools.
- Hand-Eye Coordination: High level of manual dexterity to perform detailed finish work without compromising the integrity of the part.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to follow technical instructions and prepare metals for specific downstream processes like welding or painting.
- Mindset: A self-starter who takes pride in the "final look" of a product and can work independently with minimal supervision.
