Job Description
Temporary Nursery Laborer
Duration: Now through December 1
Job Summary:
The Temporary Nursery Laborer will assist with seasonal nursery tasks including potting trees and preparing the nursery for winter. This role is physically active and requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pot tree seedlings and saplings according to nursery standards.
- Move, lift, and organize plant materials and containers.
- Assist with winterizing nursery spaces, including covering, storing, and securing plants and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and instructions from supervisors.
- Perform other general labor tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50-70 pounds and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work outdoors in cold or wet conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions.
- Previous nursery or agricultural experience helpful but not required.
