Job Summary
Select Express is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Local Potato Truck Driver to transport potatoes from local farms and agricultural facilities to designated receiving, storage, processing, or delivery locations in the Aberdeen, Idaho area.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company trucks used to transport potatoes.
- Deliver potato loads safely and on time to receiving, storage, processing, or other designated facilities.
- Properly secure and protect loads during transportation.
- Inspect the truck and trailer before and after each trip.
- Report mechanical issues, safety concerns, or damage promptly.
- Follow all applicable DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
- Assist with loading or unloading activities when required.
- Perform other duties related to local transportation as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL appropriate for the equipment being operated.
- Previous truck driving experience preferred.
- Safe driving record.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to pass required DOT physical, drug/alcohol testing, and other applicable requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb in and out of trucks and trailers.
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting and physical labor.
- Ability to safely perform duties around farms, agricultural equipment, and loading facilities.
