   Warehouseman – Retail Store Job Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for receiving, organizing, storing, and distributing merchandise within the retail store warehouse. Ensures that inventory is properly handled, accurately recorded, and readily available for store operations. Maintains a clean, safe, and organized warehouse while supporting the sales floor and delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming merchandise against invoices and delivery documents.

Organize, label, and store merchandise in designated warehouse locations.

Pick, pack, and prepare merchandise for delivery, customer pickup, or transfer to the sales floor.

Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks and moving heavy items safely.

Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies, damaged goods, or missing items.

Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock replenishment.

Ensure merchandise is handled and stored properly to prevent damage or loss.

Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.

Operate warehouse equipment, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts, when authorized.

Follow company policies, safety procedures, and loss-prevention guidelines.

Coordinate with sales associates, delivery personnel, and management to ensure efficient store operations.

Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned by management.
