Medical Coding is taught to AAPC standards through lecture and the use of real life scenarios. The student is trained to read clinical and hospital notes and assign the appropriate codes to submit to insurance for reimbursement. Insurance rules, regulations, and terminology are also covered to best prepare the student for work in a coding environment.
