Description
The Phlebotomist Technician course is designed for those who learn best
in the traditional classroom. This program teaches students to perform a
variety of blood collection methods using proper techniques and
precautions.This Phlebotomist Technician course was designed to prepare
students to work in a laboratory or hospital setting. The course
emphasizes infection prevention, proper patient identification, proper
handling of specimens and quality control.
Testing agencies have varied requirements for the phlebotomy technician
training. It is not a
requirement to complete the Phlebotomy Technician program or for
employment in Idaho.
