Description

Welding plays a crucial role in many different industries in the Magic Valley. It is clear that the welding industry is currently undergoing difficult times with an extremely large shortage of skilled welders. Grow your current skillset through this 30-hour training that focuses on TIG welding.


This course is designed as an introductory course to TIG Welding. Students will learn welding theory while getting applied training of welds in various positions on various materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Students will focus on production welding with the end goal of workplace readiness.

Request for withdrawal and refund must be submitted in writing to workforce@csi.edu within 48 hours prior to the start of the course/program. Accommodations may also be made to be transferred to another course section or to send another person on his/her behalf if prior arrangements are made. Refunds will be issued in the name of the student or company who paid for the class in the form of a check from the College of Southern Idaho. Please allow two to four weeks for processing.
