Description
The Pharmacy Technician (Pharm tech) is the right hand of the pharmacist, preparing prescriptions, dispensing medications, compounding, processing insurance, managing inventory, and administering vaccinations. Pharm techs work in various settings such as retail pharmacies, hospitals, and clinics. Our 5 month program will prepare students to pass the certification exam and provide the skills to begin a career in the pharmaceutical field.
Pharmacology
Understanding the function of drugs and how the body reacts and processes medications.
Vaccine Administration
Student will learn appropriate immunization administration techniques in our hands-on injection training module.
Intro to Anatomy and Physiology
Students will learn and understand how the organs work and get an overview of the body systems.
Top 200 Drugs
Specimen handling and labeling needs to be done accurately and with care. You will learn about quality assurance and quality control principles to requisitioning, specimen transport and processing.
Pharmacy Calculations
Students will gain knowledge in math geared to focus medication dosing, drug dilutions and concentrations.
Pharmacy Law and Ethics
Students will learn and understand the importance of the laws involved in the pharmacy to provide a safe and legal practice.

Refund Policy
Student may withdraw prior to drop period and will receive full tuition refund, when request is submitted in writing and sent to administration and the return of all course materials. No refund is offered after the drop period. Student is responsible for full tuition if course is dropped after the drop period. Drop period is the first week after course start date.
