Description
This 160-hour Class A ELDT-160A program is delivered over four (4) weeks and is designed for students who have already obtained
their Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP). This four-week course prepares entry-level drivers to safely operate a Class A commercial
motor vehicle and meet federal Entry-Level Driver Training requirements. Instruction includes ELDT theory, vehicle systems and
inspections, hours-of-service regulations, safe operating practices, basic vehicle control, backing maneuvers, coupling and uncoupling, and supervised public-road driving. Students participate in classroom, range, observation, and hands-on driving activities and complete proficiency evaluations throughout the course. To successfully complete the program, students must earn an overall theory assessment score of at least 80 percent and demonstrate proficiency in all required behind-the-wheel skills. Graduates are prepared to take the state-administered CDL skills examination; course completion does not guarantee CDL issuance. The program takes approximately 4 weeks to complete and includes 160 hours of instruction, including 44 hours Hands-on-the-Wheel Training, 40 hours Classroom Theory, 76 hours lab, observation and range exercises. Prerequisites: Valid CDL Class A permit.

Refund Policy
A full refund for students will occur for students requesting to cancel within 3 days of start or cease attending on or before the 3rd day of start. The 3-day cancellation policy will apply to all students. A student may withdraw from the School at any time after the cancellation period. The student must submit a withdrawal request to the School Director. The request may be verbal or written. The School refund policy will apply to all withdrawals after classes begin.
